Members from Student Activities class visited Motor City Blight Busters Saturday, January 31st to gain a better understanding of what the VBM35 charity is all about.  While on the visit, students met with MCBB founder John George at the Motor City Java house at 9am (as is customary for Saturday volunteers) and learned more about the history of the charity.  Next, the class was taken on a tour by George to see all the positive influence the Motor City Blight Busters have had on the Old Redford neighborhood of Detroit.  After the tour, the students got to work helping a newly refinished project get ready for an event that evening.

To cap the day off, Student Activities ate lunch at "Sweet Potato Sensations", a local restaurant that is still in the neighborhood due to Motor City Blight Busters work.  Overall, it was a great learning exerience for the class.  We look forward to future support through VBM35 and future visits.
